DCL 1

Basic syntax rules:

• Syntax: verb /qualifier /qualifier argument argument
• Verbs and qualifiers not case sensitive
• Both verbs and qualifiers can be abbreviated as long as they are unique (and they will always be unique with 4 letters - and actually everything beyond 4 letters are ignored)
• Most verbs and qualifiers are plain english words
• No command completion
• No globbing (if wildcards are supported it is done by the command itself)

Common commands:

DIRECTORY

DIR command

TYPE fnm

CREATE/DIRECTORY dir

COPY fnm1 fnm2
