It makes sense to me. English has de facto always been the "official" language in the US. Making it formally official just clarifies. It does not prevent stuff from being created in other languages if considered useful, but it should ensure that an English version exist and that speaking or writing English should work. Danish is my native language, but I don't expect to be able to communicate in Danish in the US.
