Sunday was election day in the two German states: Thuringen and Saxony.
AfD won with 32.8% in Thuringen and 30.6% in Saxony.
CDU did OK with 23.6% in Thuringen and 31.9% in Saxony.
SPD lost with 6.1% in Thuringen and 7.3% in Saxony.
The German chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) appealed to other parties to keep AfD out of influence.
They can. But if they don't change course, then AfD support will continue to grow.
