It is a valid question why Java is still popular in 2025.

It is old. The syntax is relative verbose compared to many newer languages. And some major enhancements like generics and lambdas was implemented in a cumbersome way to maintain backwards compatibility.

That a company that are big in Java write something positive about Java should not surprise anyone.

But they actually do manage to document that Java is still sidely used and hint at some of the usage. I think they have forgotten one big area where Java is used: big data and data lakes. The caluclations are done in Fortran/C. The developers write Python to run things. But data is most likely moved and stored in Java.
