Laravel is by far the most widely used traditional PHP MVC framework today.
Laravel delevelopers has been asked a bunch of questions and results has been published.
Little over 40% is contributing to open source. This tells me that the the survey has not reached average PHP developers.
PHPStorm and VS Code are the two dominant code editors.
Most teams are pretty small (<10).
Most are using PHP 7.4 or 8.x.
MySQL/MariaDB is by far the most used database.
Most use a JS framework for frontend UI.
Only around 2/3 use unit tests. Oh oh oh!!!!
