GCC to support ALGOL68 ??

I don't get it.

I was a big fan of them adding Modula-2 to GCC. Modula-2 is a language that is a little bit used and a language that makes sense (I consider it the best procedural only language ever created!). I can also understand adding GNU Cobol as Cobol is still used.

But nobody use ALGOL today. Heck almost nobody has every used ALGOL. The only interesting aspect of ALGOL is its huge influence on other programming languages like Pascal and C, which again influenced almost all newer languages.

I don't see any reason for GCC to support it.
