Some people seem to believe that AI will replace all developers tomorrow. I suspect most of those people cannot distinguish between C code and Java code and very likely have an agenda about selling you some expensive AI tool.
But many developers use AI as a tool. And Github did a little experiement to test if it provides value.
And it does. Small but signficant improvements in quality.
Github is a provider of AI tools, but I expect Githubs commercial agenda to focus more on making developers pick their tool over competitors tools than to convince developers that they should use AI tools - the latter has already happened.
