The growth of information security spending and jobs are falling. Note that it is still growing just slower than previously.
I don't think it is because the focus on security is dropping. I think it is because many CIO's are realising that throwing tons of money at their information security team may not actually improve security that much.
A large portion of new hires in information security just got some months of training and are not up for the job. Investing in external consultants and fancy tools are often a total ripoff.
