It is reasonable to expect social media to remove illegal content and make them liable if they do not make a good effort to do so.
But given that we are talking about huge number of posts that need to be taken down, then everyone should realize that there may be some delay and that a tiny fraction may fall through the cracks. Neither AI algorithms or human reviewers are perfect.
Regarding making the executives personal responsible, then I suggest that Ireland provides a good example and make the politicians personal responsible for everything that goes wrong in the government.
