Everybody has heard that Amazon is investing billions in AI now.
That is no surprise - Amazon want to keep up with Microsoft, Google, Meta etc..
It is not so surprising that they are partnering with Anthropic (maker of Claude) either. They are late to the game and partering with someone already in the game makes sense.
But as pointed out the most surprising is that they are not going with NVidia GPU's like everybody else - they are going with their own Trainium and Inferentia chips!
