Trump has proposed increasing US military spending from 1.0 T$ to 1.5 T$.

so far it is just social media post - there is a long way to a congress approved budget
the claim that the tariffs can pay for both this and paying down the federal debt is total BS - the Trump II administration is on track to set a new record of adding 2.3 T$ to the federal debt in 12 months
historical the 1.5 T$ would not be high - if the US were to spend the same percentage of GDP on military as it did in the 60's then spending should be 2.5 T$
