There has been serious concerns about the US willingness to defend Europe aginst Russia. The messages from the Trump administration the first half year has been relative soft towards Russia. With some overall messages that: it is possible to talk to Putin and that the Ukraine war could be ended via a compromise.
But it looks like the tome is getting harder towards Russia this month.
