US forces in Europe

Trump's threat to pull 5000 troops out of Germany got a lot of attention.

But to understand the context: it is only 7% of the US forces in Europe.

My opinion:

• US should move troops out of Germany but deploy them nearer the border to Russia - Bavaria was a great location for US troops when the Soviet army was in East Germany and Czechoslovacia - not so good against Russian army is Russia and Belarus
• US should send more troops to Europe - during the cold war the US had 250000 troops in Germany
