Total inflation of 3.5% and core inflation of 3.2% is not in itself a big problem. But it will almost certainly prevent the interest rate cut that so many are waiting for. And it is not likely to drop any time soon - there is every reason to believe that it will stay where it is or grow. Because the impact of the supply chain chock from the war in the Middle East has not fully hit the economy yet.
GDP growth of 2.0% is also not bad but not great either.
