This is not the technology of Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics or RheinmetallUkraine is producing weapons for the modern drone war. The mentioned companies seems to be producing weapons the war that did not happen in the 1980's of NATO vs Warsaw pact.
Those companies produce weapons that are bigger, faster and more powerful than anything else.
Ukraine produce weapons that are cheaper and faster to produce than anything else.
A tomahawk missile flies at 900 km/h, range over 2000 km and carry 120 kg of explosives. An iranian Shahed drone flies at 185 km/h, range over 2500 km and carry 50 kg of explosives.
But a Tomahawk missile cost 3 million dollars and production is measured in hundreds per year. A Shahed drone cost 20000 dollars and production is measured in thousands per month.
