Kotlin Azul cooperation

JetBrains seems to be on a mission to push Kotlin the huge JVM based server side market. See Kotlin Spring cooperation for another example.

Azul's two main products are Zulu and Zing.

Zulu is an OpenJDK build that they offer support for. OpenJDK support is a very competitive market, but I believe Azul is doing fine. Including in the financial sector that is willing to pay well for support. My guess is that one reason for their success is that Java is their main business while most other providers of OpenJDK support are more general IT businesses (RedHat/IBM, Amazon, Microsoft etc.).

Zing used to be hot due to its C4 no pause garbage collector. But since standard OpenJDK got ZGC garbarge collector in Java 11 (preview), 15 (ready) and 21 (generational) with microsecond pauses instead of millisecond pauses then I assume that sales point has been loosing appeal. But now Zing seem to have added a new Falcon JIT that generate better optimized coding utilizing LLVM.

24-27% decrease in latency and 31-38% increase in througput is impressive.
