Original link: Jakarta EE 11 Delivers One New Specification, 16 Updated Specifications and Modernized TCK / InfoQ.

Jakarta EE (previously Java EE) version 11 has been finalized.

This is the umbrella for all Java server related technologies.

Lots of small updates to specifications, including:

• Servlet: 6.0 to 6.1
• Jakarta Pages (previously Java Server Pages): 3.1 to 4.0
• Jakarta Connectors (previously Java Connector Architecture): 2.0 to 2.1
• Jakarta Faces (previously Java Server Faces): 4.0 to 4.1
• Jakarta Persistence (previously Java Persistence Architecture): 3.1 to 4.0

And a brand new specifications: Jakarta Data 1.0, yet anoter Java database API. My first impression is that it does look promising, but that it will first be usable in version 1.1.
