Hedge fund switch from C# to Rust

Original link: Hedge funds are replacing a programming language with Rust, but it's not C++ / efinancialcareers.

I don't get it. C# code is generally almost as fast as native code. C# does have higher memory usage and GC pausing, but if that was a problem then they should never have picked C# (or any other tracing GC language) in the first place.

And productivity (LoC/dev/month) must be significantly higher for C# than Rust.
