From Python to Rust

I have no doubt that Rust is better than Python for the task.
But:
- this application should never had been done in Python the first place
- it is not really Python or Rust specific
Upfront expectations would be: compiled (AOT or JIT) language with manual memory deallocation is better than compiled (AOT or JIT) language with GC is better than interpreted language. Fast no pauses is better than fast with pauses is better than slow with pauses,
