I have no doubt that Kotlin is faster and easier to maintain for large code bases than Python. Arguments ar eall true.
But if the conversion from Python to Kotlin makes sense, then I doubt that Python was the correct choice to begin with.
I see Python and Kotlin targetting different purposes. Kotlin does not compete with Python - Kotlin compete with Java, C#, C++, Go etc..
