This is not the usual claim that using AI to generate code will create more technical debt.
It is a claim that for whatever human created technical debt there are, then it will be cheaper to fix it in a few years using the AI tools available at that time than to fix it now with the AI tools available now. Or in other words: the rapid evolvment of AI tools will reduce the monetary cost of fixing technical debt and therefore it is smart to wait to fix it until it has become cheaper.
