StackOverflow decline not just AI

It is probably AI that will kill StackOverflow (and then AI will have a problem finding good training material!).

But the author has a relevant point - StackOverflow was already in decline when AI arrived. The moderation quality assurance became a problem.

I believe that is true. I have never been a StackOverflow user. Relative early in SO history there was a small episode - someone posted a qustion (a Java question), some high repuation user edited the question to what he thougth the question was, the one asking the question did not agree with that edit, but after a lot of fuzzz ended up being asked to take a hike. I did not want somebody else to have authority to say what I meant to ask or answer, so I never joined SO. I am probably not the only one that did not like that concept.
