Another case of open source pain. The libxml2 library was actually unmaintained for a few days.
Not good considering how widely used it is: Gnome, Chrome, FireFox, LibreOffice, Apache web server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Python lxml module, some PHP versions, some Java versions, etc.. My claim is that most computers in the world has multiple copies of libxml2 on them.
