Original link: FPGA Brings UNIX V1 To The DEC J-11 / Hackaday.
An original PDP-11 CPU and rest of the PDP-11 system implemented in FPGA. Cool!
Few may remember the PDP-11 today, but is was a very important computer in IT history. Unix and C originated on PDP-11 (Unix work started on PDP-7). On the hardware side both Intel and Motorola was heavily inspired by the PDP-11.
