First there is nothing wrong using Windows with WSL2 and Ubuntu for development. In fact it is probably the most common developer PC config in the world.
But the arguments are a bit questionable. Nobody like using dual boot - everything is better than that. The argument about VM's requiring too many resources does not make any sense - WSL2 is a VM. The need for certain Windows applications are real, but there are both Wine and the option of running Windows in KVM on Linux.
