The claim is that ARM will dethrone x86-64 for desktop PC's.
It could happen!
I am not sure that it would be good though. Because the server market would go ARM then as well (the server market went x86-64 instead of Itanium because desktop went x86-64!). And them ARM would have mobile, desktop and server (read: everything). Not good for competion and innovation!
